Fiery Truck Accident Kills One

Head-on collisions are known for typically resulting in serious injuries. When such a collision is an 18 wheeler accident, the situation can be even more devastating. Fatalities can easily occur when such a large vehicle collides with another vehicle, and other resulting damage can appear catastrophic.

Such an unfortunate accident took place in Texas and involved an 18 wheeler and two pickup trucks. According to reports, the driver of the tractor trailer jack knifed his vehicle after another driver pulled out in front of him. As a result, the 18 wheeler then struck two pickup trucks, one head-on. The pickup hit head-on then caught fire.

The passenger in that truck was suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to an area hospital and considered to be in serious condition. The driver of the other pickup involved was also injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, though at this time they are considering the slick roadway as contributing factor.
