Man Killed in Car Crash near El Dorado High School
It is not uncommon for the entrances and exits of high school parking lots to become busy with incoming or outgoing traffic. One can assume that obeying right-of-way laws is a practical way to maintain safety in these areas. Unfortunately, such was presumably not the case in a recent fatal motorcycle crash near a Texas high school.
The accident occurred on a recent Friday at 7:45 a.m. One person was killed and another is being accused of fault in the tragedy. It has been reported that the investigation of this collision is ongoing.
Reports indicate that a 44-year-old woman, driving a sport utility vehicle, was attempting to exit a high school parking lot and cross the boulevard. A 40-year-old man on a motorcycle was driving past the juncture. Investigators report that the woman failed to yield the appropriate right-of-way to the driver of the motorcycle. The biker crashed into the SUV, and the impact caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle.
A Motorcycle Injury Attorney can Help Win Financial Compensation
Sadly, due to the severity of his injuries, the driver of the motorcycle died at the scene of the accident. Though the investigation into the tragic incident continues, authorities have stated that, thus far, the only evident cause of this fatal motorcycle crash was the sport utility vehicle driver’s failure to obey the right-of-way law. The surviving family members of the deceased have the right to consult a professional attorney in order to ascertain their options insofar as filing a legal claim in a Texas court of law is concerned. A wrongful death claim, if successful, could possibly help alleviate financial losses incurred from the untimely death of their loved one.
