One of the most difficult results of an accident is the death of an individual involved, and the situation can be considered even more tragic if the decedent was a child.
Such a tragic accident occurred in Texas when two vehicles collided. Reports indicated that a vehicle with three occupants was hit in the rear by a pickup truck. Authorities believe the driver of the truck to have been under the influence of alcohol and to have been speeding at the time of the accident.
As a result of the crash, a 13-year-old boy in the first vehicle suffered fatal injuries, and a 15-year-old female passenger is in critical condition. Because alcohol and speed were considered factors, charges are pending in relation to the accident. Authorities are continuing to investigate and more information could be made available at a later date.
