Dallas Infant Killed in Hit-and-Run
Being involved in an accident in which the other driver flees the scene can be a frightening experience. When a victim is seriously injured or killed in such an accident, the event can be even more devastating. The idea of a small child being the victim is almost unfathomable, but it is an unfortunate reality that can result from a hit and run accident.
A similar accident took place in Texas when a vehicle was presumably struck by another vehicle that failed to remain on the scene. Details as to how the accident took place were not readily available in the report. It was mentioned that a 4-month-old baby was an occupant in one of the vehicles.
The baby was reportedly ejected from the vehicle after the collision. The infant was then taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the child succumbed to those injuries and was pronounced dead. Authorities are pursuing leads on suspects who may have been involved in the fatal accident, but at this time none have been taken into custody.
A Texas Hit-and-Run Attorney can Help Win Financial Compensation
The family of the infant who was killed in the hit and run accident is undoubtedly feeling much grief over the loss of such a young baby. They presumably anxiously await for the driver involved in the accident to be taken into custody in order to face possible punishment for leaving the scene of the accident and other offenses. When authorities do apprehend the driver involved, the family may wish to look into their legal options dealing with wrongful death to determine whether they could possibly have cause to pursue a claim in order to seek compensation for the their loss and other damages permitted under Texas law.
