Harris County, TX Mother Killed in Road Rage
Many drivers have often witnessed other drivers becoming frustrated while behind the wheel of a vehicle. Road rage is a common emotion that drivers may feel when their commute becomes unsatisfactory for whatever reason. While some may find it comical that drivers become so easily heated, road rage can result in a serious car accident that can affect more than just the agitated driver.
A case of alleged road rage in Texas led to the death of a mother and the severe injury of her young son. According to reports, a man was driving a truck on the wrong side of the road in an attempt to cause another vehicle to leave the roadway. The occupants of that other vehicle were his wife and child. A witness stated that the man and his wife appeared to have had an argument before they both entered separate vehicles.
While attempting to run the other vehicle off the road, the driver of the truck reportedly collided head on with a third vehicle, which also held a mother and child. The third vehicle reportedly caught fire after the collision, and several witnesses helped to remove the occupants from the vehicle. The mother suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash, and her son is listed as being in critical condition.

At this time Texas authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. No charges have been filed as the results of the truck driver’s blood tests are awaited.
