Houston Man Killed by Metro Bus Avoiding Accident
A Texas bus accident has taken the life of a man in Houston. The details surrounding exactly what happened are unclear, but a disabled vehicle reportedly caused four other vehicles to crash into each other. The bus accident occurred when a bus driver attempted to avoid crashing into the other vehicles and struck a man.
The man was involved in the other crash, exited his vehicle and was walking on the freeway when he was hit by the bus. He died at the scene of the accident. In addition to the fatality, four other individuals were hurt and sent to the hospital, though none of them were thought to be in danger of losing their lives.
It is not clear if the vehicle with the flat tire was hit, or was only the catalyst for the other vehicles involved. Further, authorities did not identify which vehicle the deceased victim was operating. One passenger aboard the bus reportedly suffered minor injuries.
